Preparing for Appointment
Treatment Guide
- Eat and hydrate within 2-4 hours of your scheduled appointment.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to treatment areas
- Though many people start to feel the benefits of treatment immediately, your body will continue to unwind, re-calibrate, and integrate over the next week.
- The time post treatment is ideally one of rest and nourishment. Talking a walk or gently stretching is recommended in place of strenuous exercise for 24 hrs.
- If you are sore, try a hot shower or epsom salt bath instead of ice.
Treatment Guarantees
- We will review your primary complaint, relevant health history & health related goals to apply treatment effectively and thoughtfully.
- You will receive treatment that addresses your primary complaint with acupuncture as the primary modality. Any other allied therapies may be incorporated if time permits and your provider deems appropriate.
- Depending on the severity of your primary complaint, secondary complaints may also be addressed in the same appointment time.
- We will recommend appropriate treatment courses and answer questions, which can include lifestyle recommendations and follow-up treatments.
Appointment Policies
Payments
- Full payment is due after services are rendered.
- Financial hardship payment options available for 6 month cycles
- Payments accepted:
- CASH - $5 point of sale discount-no change provided, exact amount only
- CREDIT CARD - all major cards are accepted
- HSA/FSA - most cards accepted
- CHECK - personal or bank certified
Timing
- 30 minutes late may cancel your appointment
- No call, no show 3 or more times may cancel your ability to book again
- Same day cancellation 3 or more times: $20 charge
Policies
- Please come to our office clean and on time for your appointment
- We will not share medical records unless given written consent from the patient as per HIPPA compliance
- All legal agreements will be resolved by arbitration
- We recommend all patients to see a physician in addition to our provided medical services
Insurance information
We do not take insurance but rather focus our energy on great, affordable treatments that have flexible payment options and accommodating price points. This allows our providers to treat as they see fit, steering clear from the influence of insurance companies.
In order to find out if you have acupuncture benefits attached to your insurance plan, you will have to contact your insurance provider or read your explanation of benefits (EOB) for your plan's policy. If you do have acupuncture benefits, we are able to furnish you with a "coded super-bill" for self submission. Just ask us at the end of your treatment and we will be happy to email one over to you.
You will want to ask your insurance provider:
- Do I have acupuncture out of network benefits?
- How many visits are allowed per calendar year?
- What conditions are covered?
- Are there any limitations to the treatments?
- Are there any limitations as to who can provide the acupuncture services?
- If the acupuncturist is not an MD, will he/she need an overseeing provider?
